Charming Belles wants to know in our "Science of Pageantry" - Event V - Headshots Photo Contest. Join us in this special Pageant Headshots, Market Research Event. This is a Double Round - each Entry is technically two! Any contestants not placing with Elite in the first round are automatically re-entered in the second. A new Judges Panel will then be introduced with the same photographs giving points of 0-100. All of your shots will be Judged again and the 2nd Elite announced. - No Double Crowning - Only those entered in the 1st Round may compete in the 2nd. * While our Events are never delayed - we reserve the right to end "Close" early due to whatever circumstances. * * Interested Performers should enter quickly, well before Deadline * Photographs are posted onto the website alphabetically, after closing. Late Entries are not accepted - even by 1 minute! Serious about Competing? - Enter Early!!! We Close at 7:00 P.M. - Central Standard Time - on Friday the 20th of August Entries that have not reached by then are unable to compete and Paypal Denied or Returned Immediately. You never have to concern yourself about "fluffed up" numbers with our contestant line-up. -i.e.- fake entries from actors, models, friends, previous contestants, relatives etc... Everyone competing paid - helping raise funds for Charities. Some have also earned a Free or Discounted Entry that is openly displayed on the website. If you cannot handle this honesty, do not enter. Constructive Criticism is good, and we will not hide your scores. There is a certain level of maturity that you must develop for competitions. That in itself is part of the Sport of Pageantry and Event Competitions. GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IS A REQUIREMENT FOR COMPETING. Be a Winner by never giving up, paying attention -&- having some pageant etiquette. The majority of parents and people entering like to know how the panel saw their photographs. Not just who won but the scores as well. These are always given out. Can you imagine a televised or stage pageant event where the scores were kept hidden? Most of our Contestants are Major Pageant Players and want to know which selection of photographs did the best. It is a smart move by some very pageant savvy folks and I am Blessed to have such individuals in my systems. Switching of photographs once submitted is prohibited -- No Exceptions -- WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST SHOTS VIA EMAIL Sending in too many photographs on a "set amount" will be taken as they come in. When limit is reached we stop downloading. Photographs are assumed property of Contestants, not Fraudulent or Copyrighted from use If anyone would dispute the use of your photographs for modeling exposure do not enter. This includes banners or any other promotions as well as the designers of any apparel your child is wearing. You are agreeing to probable Modeling Opportunities and other Wholesome Promotions by entering. Publicity includes Advertisements, Commercials, Magazines, Websites, Business Cards, all Promotional Materials etc... Charming Belles promotes their Queens with positive exposure, and we will continue doing so, celebrating every Win! After placing with the National Elite Title you cannot compete again for 1 Season. This does not count for any Preliminary Elite Titles, however if you Win ELITE in a Preliminary Event please skip at least 1 prelim before re-entering another. This only applies to the ELITE Titles. Cosmetics, including those from Retouching, are acceptable in our Pageant System. We are familiar with this Artistry & Points will never be deducted for their usage. If there is a "Natural" category, we will give everyone fair warning in advance, so that cosmetics/retouching are kept to a minimum. Last names are preferably represented by an Initial. Middle Names are optional, Stage Names encouraged. The name you place on the Entry form will be your competing name throughout the Event. Names will not be changed on any Ad's, Banners, Commercials, or any other Publicity once released to the Public from Entry Form. Be Focused on the above Guideline's when submitting your Entries. Contestants will be judged solely on this alone. What is a Retouched Glitz Headshot? A. Retouched Headshots are Professional Photographs that have been enhanced with specific Glitz features, i.e. skin smoothing, cosmetics, lashes, hair, imperfections corrected, lighting, cropping, etc.... Q. Do I have to be on "The List" to compete? A. No, these are the Preliminaries. Q. How did contestants get on "The List" ? A. They received at least 1 Preliminary Title during Season V. Q. Do you give out the Scores? A. Yes, these are posted as we announce our Elite and other Top winners and any runner-up's. Q. What is a Proof? A. A "Proof" is a Professional Headshot "Hardcopy" that has not yet been retouched/edited. Q. What is a Digital Portfolio? A. Digital Portfolio's are photographs that have been enhanced with special thematic effects by an Artist. Digital Port's can be taken by both Professional and Amateur Photographers. Q. What is a "Stageshot"? A. Stageshots are photographs taken while contestants are performing, LIVE on Stage at a Beauty Pageant, Fitness or Modeling Competition. Stageshots can be taken by either Professional or Amateur Photographers. Q. Do I have to enter with a photograph taken by one of your Professional Photography Clients? A. Definitely not! You choose to tell who took your shots only if you want free PR for them on the Winners Banner. The Professionals I promote are dear to me though there are no rules to enter with their work.
